January 2022

Built in 1748, the Single Brethren’s House has seen many uses within its walls. Originally a home for single men of Bethlehem’s Moravian Community, it would later serve as a hospital for American forces during the Revolutionary War. Today it is home to Moravian University’s Music Department, however some sections of this historic building remain nearly untouched.

This is a look inside.

Thank you to Moravian University and Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites for asking me to document these seldom seen spaces of the Brethren’s House.
